Value for money was excellent, the cozy and perfect house exceeded our expectations. The location was stunning, with breathtaking views of the bay and snow-capped mountains. The hosts, Leanne and Richard, were warm, welcoming, and attentive.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast offerings better would be more variety in the menu.

The bedrooms at Cubby House Stay Kaikoura are cozy and comfortable, with a warm and homely vibe. The queen bed feels like sleeping on a cloud, and the Bluetooth alarm clock adds a modern touch. As a laid-back traveler, I loved unwinding in this inviting space.
The child's cot in one of the bedrooms didn't suit my style, but others may appreciate it.

The cozy and beautiful retreat offered stunning views and an amazing sunset. We loved feeding the baby lambs and calves. The fully stocked fridge and freezer, along with complimentary wine and snacks, provided a delightful surprise. The atmosphere was amazing with quirky and rustic decorations, and the hosts went out of their way to make our visit enjoyable and welcoming.
If you're expecting modern amenities, you might be disappointed, although the description of the retreat was accurate. The bathroom could use an upgrade, although it was functional and had good shower pressure.

The fully-equipped kitchen at this holiday home was a game-changer. It had all the bells and whistles - stovetop, oven, coffee machine that made café-quality brews, and a fridge stocked with sauces and condiments. It felt like having my very own personal culinary playground!
Space in the freezer could be limited. Leanne, maybe it would be nice to have some extra room for frozen treats?
